Collegiate Results

Freshman (2021): Indoor season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic… Represented the Lakers at the 2021 Indoor GLIAC Championships in the triple jump and placed seventh in the event with a length of 12.03 meters… Competed in six meets for the Lakers during the outdoor season… Recorded a personal best at the Blizzard Buster in the javelin with a throw of 30.86 meters… Competed in the pole vault and the triple jump at the 2021 GLIAC Outdoor Championships… At the GLIAC Championships, set personal records in the pole vault  with a height of 4.27 meters and in the triple jump with a distance of 12.80 meters… Placed eighth in the pole vault to record half of a point for the Lakers and earned four points for the team with a fifth place finish in the triple jump. 

High School: Graduated from Dakota High School in Macomb, Mich. in 2020… Competed in the Macomb Area Conference (Red Division) and was coached by Michael Timpa.... Set a personal record in pole vault in 2019 with a height of 3.96 meters… Recorded a personal best in the Long Jump in 2019 with a distance of 6.09 meters… Posted a personal record height of 1.83 meters in the high jump during the 209 season… Set a personal best in the triple jump with a distance of 12.17 meters as a senior… Was named All-Conference in 2017 and 2018…  Was named All-Regional in 2018 and 2019… Received All-State recognition in 2019… Earned All-Academic honors in four consecutive years (2016-19)... Served as team captain during his senior year in 2019… Three-time individual conference champ… Member of the Mac Conference: Red Division Championship team in 2017, 2018, and 2019… Dakota’s track and field team earned county championship titles from 2017-19, regional championship titles from 2017-19, county team of the year from 2017-19, Muskrat Classic Champions from 2017-19 and received Academic All-State team honors in 2017.

Personal: Son of Edwin and Malin Murray… Has two sisters, Amanda and Haylee… Also played JV soccer and ultimate frisbee in high school… Hobbies include spending time outdoors, rock climbing, and bridge jumping… Has traveled to Nicaragua, Peru and the Dominican Republic on mission trips... Majoring in mechanical engineering.
