Preview: Four Lakers to Compete at 2021 GLIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete at the 2021 GLIAC Indoor Track and Field Championship meet on Saturday, Feb. 27 and Saturday, Feb. 28 hosted by Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Mich. 

Four Laker student-athletes will be competing in the meet including David Mitter, Riley Collins, Noah Murray and Elizabeth Setsuda.

Mitter will be running in the 5k distance on Saturday afternoon at either 3:45 p.m. or 5:55 p.m., depending on which heat he is placed in. 

Collins will take part in the high jump competition on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. for the Lakers. 

Murray will represent the Lakers in the triple jump at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, and it will mark the freshman's first collegiate meet.

Setsuda will compete in three different events for the Lakers in the two-day meet, beginning with the long jump on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Later in the day on Saturday, Setsuda will partake in the 60m race at 5:00 p.m. If she qualifies for finals in the 60m distance, she will race again at 2:15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Setsuda's final event will be the triple jump on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
