ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Lake Superior State University women's golf team placed 13th with a two-round total of 606 strokes at the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite, hosted by Grand Valley State, on Monday.
Freshman Lekisha Sasitharan (Shah Alam, Malaysia) led the Lakers with a combined total of 164, including a 79-shot opening round. Marie Mathieu (Marshall, Mich.) would have the second best round on the team using only 85 strokes through the first 18 holes. Julia Vess (New Hudson, Mich.) and Jessica Hellebuyck (Almont, Mich.) rounded out the scorecard for the Lakers with respective two-day totals of 177 and 180.
The Lakers return to action on Monday, Oct. 3 when they travel to Lemont, Ill. For the Lewis University Invite at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club.
