BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lake Superior State women's golf team placed 13th at the Lady Bulldog Fall Invitational, hosted by Ferris State at Katke Golf Course, on Saturday.

Julia Vess (New Hudson, Mich.) led the Lakers with a two-round total of 169 strokes, and after a six-shot improvement in the second round, freshman Lekisha Sasitharan (Shah Alam, Malaysia) was not far behind with a combined total of 172. Jessica Hellebuyck (Almont, Mich.) and Marie Mathieu (Marshall, Mich.) rounded out the lineup for the Lakers with respective totals of 177 and 181.

The Lakers return to action on Sunday, Sept. 25 for the opening day of the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite, hosted by Grand Valley State in Allendale, Mich.
