Laker Men's Golf Finishes Eleventh at Arendsen Invitational

ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State men's golf program finished eleventh at the Arendsen Invitational hosted by Grand Valley State University on Monday.

The Lakers finished with a three-round total of 933 with Marko Banic (Calgary, Alb.) leading the way with a total of 230 to finish 17 strokes over par to tie for 37th place individually. Callum McKay (Calgary, Alb.) finished tied for 48th place, but he was able to notch the best individual round amongst his teammates with a round-three performance of two strokes under par to move up 31 spots on the individual leaderboard and help his team overtake Purdue Northwest on the final day of the Invitational after entering the third round trailing the Pride by ten strokes. Braden Falk (Portage, Mich.) finished closely behind McKay with a three-round total of 234. Alex Bratton (Yorktown, Ind.) and Charley Stephen (Oshawa, Ont.) Rounded out the lineup with respective totals of 238 and 246.

Grant Baker (Woodslee, Ont.), Collin Pajot (Brighton, Mich.), and Dominik Tilgner (Mannheim, Germany) also competed as individuals with Baker leading the trio with a total of 237 strokes to finish tied for 64th place individually. Pajot and Tilgner would finish with respective totals of 249 and 256 as well. 

The Lakers return to action on Monday, Sept. 12 for a scrimmage against Sault College.
