Laker Men's Golf Set to Compete at First Invitational of 2022-23 Season

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State University men's golf team is set to open the 2022 season by traveling to Allendale, Mich. and competing at the Arendsen Invitational hosted by Grand Valley State University, on Sunday, Sept. 4 and Monday, Sept. 5.

The field will be made up of 12 teams, including four Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents. LSSU will be represented as a team by Marko Banic (Calgary, Alb.), Alex Bratton (Yorktown, Ind.), Callum McKay (Calgary, Alb.), Charley Stephen (Oshawa, Ont.), and Braden Falk (Portage, Mich.) with Grant Baker (Woodslee, Ont.), Collin Pajot (Brighton, Mich.), and Dominik Tilgner (Mannheim, Germany) competing as individuals. 

The GVSU Invitational will take place at The Meadows Golf Course, which is ranked No. 6 in the Top-25 College Golf Courses in the United States, and it is ranked No. 21 in the state of Michigan by Golf Advisor. The Meadows has also been the host to many NCAA events, such as the NCAA National Championships as well as the MHSAA Championships.
