ASHLAND, Ohio - The Lake Superior State women's volleyball team fell to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) fell to the conference leading Ashland University Eagles in three straight sets on Friday, Oct. 4 in a road contest in Ashland, Ohio. With the loss, the Lakers record sits at 4-10 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
First Set: Eagles won, 25-16
Second Set: Eagles won, 25-14
Third Set: Eagles won, 25-14
Sophomore Amanda Odykirk led the Lakers with six kills against the Eagles with junior Sarah Bailey and sophomore Bethany Wilson tied for second on the team with four kills apiece. Sophomore Halle Grulke, the team's setter, led the team with 18 assists in the match-up.
Defensively, the Lakers were led by the trio of senior Amanda Reid (8 digs), sophomore Emily Kalinowski (9 digs), and sophomore Abby Beachnau (8 digs).
