Women's Tennis Returns Home for a Two GLIAC Matches

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. -  The Lake Superior State women's tennis team will host two matches against Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponents this weekend. The Lakers will play Saginaw Valley State University on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 10:00 a.m. and Northwood University on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 10:00 a.m. Both matches will be played in the Arbuckle Student Activity Center in the Norris Center and are free to attend. 

LSSU began its fall season with a home match against Michigan Tech followed by the ITA tournament and two matches on the road. The team has combined for seven set victories throughout singles and doubles play. The Lakers will look to build off a close road match last weekend and clinch their first win of the 2019-20 season. 

Saginaw Valley has an overall record of 2-2 with a winning streak of two matches at home this season while Northwood also sits with an even 2-2 overall record at this point in the season. 

UP NEXT

Followed by these two matches, the Lakers will be back on the road again to face Ferris State University on Saturday, Oct. 12, and Grand Valley State University on Sunday, Oct. 13.
