Women's tennis falls to GVSU on the road

ALLENDALE, Mich.- Lake Superior State women's tennis capped the weekend road trip with a 9-0 loss at the hands of Grand Valley State on Sunday.

During doubles play, the Lakers (0-2) top pair of Tara Harvey and Jenay Andrews fell 8-1 to GVSU's No. 1 pair, Maddie Ballard and Allie Sweeney. In No. 2 doubles, Rachel Sumner and Aimee Moccia took down Allison Grandfield and Macarena Bielsa 8-1. No. 3 doubles saw Abby Perkins and Liv Christman defeat Laura Roberts and Kirsten Malpass 8-1.

GVSU also swept the singles portion to close out the match.

The Lakers return home next weekend to host Walsh at 10 a.m. on Saturday (Sept. 17) and Ashland on Sunday (Sept. 18).
