BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) women's golf team competed at the 2023 Lady Bulldog Fall Invite at Katke Golf Course, hosted by Ferris State, on Sunday and Monday.

True freshman Kiera Cotter (Etobicoke, Ont.) led her teammates with a two-day total of 169 strokes (88/81) after sinking a pair of birdies and improving by seven strokes in the second round of 18. Jesse Hellebuyck (Almont, Mich.) produced the next best score for the Lakers with 178 strokes (84/94), and she was followed closely by senior Marie Mathieu (Marshall, Mich.) who used a two-stroke improvement on the second day to climb two spots on the individual leaderboard. Freshmen Natalie Kellogg (Montague, Mich.) and Mackenzie Davidson (Rockford, Mich.) rounded out the lineup for the Lakers with respective two-day totals of 207 and 211 with Davidson having the top improvement on the second day among her teammates after completing the second round in 17 fewer shots than the first.

The Lakers return to action on Sunday, Oct. 1 for the first day of the Flyer Intercollegiate Tournament, hosted by Lewis University at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club.
