Laker Women's Golf Compete at 14th Annual Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite

ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) women's golf team competed at the 14th annual Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite, hosted by Grand Valley State at the Meadows, on Saturday.

True freshman Kiera Cotter (Etobicoke, Ont.) led the way for the Lakers in her collegiate debut with a two-round total of 169 (86/83). Jesse Hellebuyck (Almont, Mich.) finished the day with a combined total of 178 strokes (92/86), improving by six strokes in the second round of competition. Marie Mathieu (Marshall, Mich.) and freshman Mackenzie Davidson (Rockford, Mich.) each had strong improvements of their own in the second round, finishing the second set of 18 holes in 13 and 16 less strokes, respectively. Natalie Kellogg (Montague, Mich.) rounded out the lineup for the Lakers with a two-round total of 219.

The Lakers return to action on Sunday, Sept. 24 for the opening day of the Lady Bulldog Invitational, hosted by Ferris State.
