AUGUSTA, Mich. - The Lake Superior State women's golf program competed at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships on Friday.

Senior Julia Vess (New Hudson, Mich.) led the way for the Lakers, improving by five strokes on the second round of 18 for a combined total of 155 and a 22nd place finish individually. Marie Mathieu (Marshall, Mich.) and Jesse Hellebuyck (Almont, Mich.) would then round out the day for their team with respective totals of 170 and 174.

The three Laker women's golfers were competing as individuals and were therefore unable to qualify for Saturday's medal match play.
