BLACKLICK, Ohio - The Lake Superior State women's golf program competed at the NC4K College Classic, hosted by Ohio Dominican University on Monday and Tuesday.

Marie Mathieu (Marshall, Mich.) paced the Lakers with a two-day total of 162 with a two-stroke improvement in the second round of competition, finishing within the top thirty on the individual leaderboard. Senior Julia Vess (New Hudson, Mich.) also came away with a solid outing, using a strong opening round to finish with a total of 171 strokes. Meanwhile, Jesse Hellebuyck (Almont, Mich.) rounded out the lineup with one of the best improvements from day one to day two after completing the second round of competition in 14 fewer swings than round one.
