Preview: Men's and Women's Golf Set to Compete in the GLIAC Championships

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State men's and women's golf teams will cap off their 2021 seasons this weekend at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships on Friday, April 16 through Sunday, April 18 in Augusta, Mich. The men's competition will take place at the Stoatin Brae Golf Course at the Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort while the women's tournament will be held at the Stonehedge North Golf Course at the Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort. 

The men's team will look to close out the season with a strong showing in the conference championship this weekend. At the GLIAC Championship, Lake Superior State will be represented by sophomore Callum McKay, senior Nick Oosterhof, junior Zander Park, senior Carter Tallaire, and senior Ryan Page. The course will be a par 71 and plays 6,742 yards off the tee. All 10 GLIAC  teams will compete in the three day championship competition. Live results can be found here.

On the women's side, the Lakers will compete against the other nine GLIAC schools in the three day tournament with the goal of finishing the season at the top of the conference standings. At the GLIAC Championship, Lake Superior State will be represented by senior Naomi Keyte, senior Madison Wilkie, redshirt-senior Madison Whittet, sophomore Julia Vess, and  junior Alyshia Suleman. The Stonehedge Golf Course is a par 72 and plays 5,829 yards off the tee. Live results can be found here.
