Women's Basketball Hits The Road For Three Games

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich.—The Lake Superior State women's basketball team will hit the road Wednesday as they take on non-conference Minnesota Duluth at 5:30 p.m.

The Lakers, who fell to non-conference Malone, 80-68, in their season opener last Friday, will take on a Bulldogs team that is 1-1 to open the 2017-18 season.

Sophomore guard Courtney Jacobsen led the Lake State offense Friday with 18 points on Friday and senior forward Tamara Novic had a team-high eight rebounds.

MDU is led by offensively by Sammy Kozlowski who is averaging 16.5 point per game. Sarah Grow leads the team in rebounding averaging 11 per contest.

After Wednesday's contest, Lake Superior will travel Concordia-St. Paul on Friday (5 p.m.) to take on the Golden Bears (1-2) on the opening game of the Radison Hotel MSP North Classic. 

The Lakers are slated to finish off the classic against Augustana S.D. (3-0) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
 
Lake Superior returns home Nov.30 for a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference matchup with No.1-ranked and returning National Champion Ashland at 5:30 p.m.
