Laker Cross Country and Track Set for Weekend of Community Outreach and Service

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Lake Superior State University cross country and track and field programs are set to participate in multiple community service and outreach events this coming weekend.

On Friday, Oct. 28, the teams will be participating in the Eagle Radio 95.1 Trunk or Treat event, and it will be held at the Eagle Radio Station from 5-7 p.m. Additional information can be found as it is made available on the event's Facebook page.

Both programs will also be participating in a Laker Woods cleanup on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 11 a.m. The Laker Woods are located south of the Student Activity Center (SAC). Participants will be gathering at the indoor track inside the SAC before proceeding outside the arena exit to the south side of the building to begin the cleanup. Any additional help from the community is welcomed and encouraged. Laker Woods serves as a connector to the I-500 city park area that has recently received a $2 million grant in order to improve facilities and promote tourism.
