SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Senior Jared Westcott (Imperial, Mo.) has been named the CCHA Forward of the Month for October after recording eight points on five goals and three assists.

Westcott, who was recently named the CCHA Forward of the Week on Oct. 30, is currently riding a four-game point streak to end the month of October, and in his most recent outing, he recorded the first Laker hat trick since Dec. 2021 in a 5-2 victory at St. Lawrence. Westcott's five goals and eight points currently rank third and second in the league, respectively, and he scored the game-winning goal in two of the Lakers' three wins on the season while also having an assist on the other. His contributions on the ice have resulted in a +5 +/- rating which ranks second in the CCHA behind only his teammate Connor Milburn (Kamloops, B.C.) who sits at +6.

Westcott and the Lakers return to action on Friday, Nov. 3 when they open up CCHA play against Bemidji State in Taffy Abel Arena with the first puck drop scheduled for 7:07 p.m.
