Defenseman of the Week: Jacob Nordqvist

Lake Superior State senior defenseman Jacob Nordqvist led the Lakers to a sweep over the St. Thomas Tommies this weekend with three points in the home series. All three of Nordqvist's points came in the team's 6-3 win on Saturday night. The Swedish defenseman tallied the primary assist on the game's first goal and followed with an assist on the Lakers second goal of the game, which came on the power play. Nordqvist clinched the Laker win with the final goal in the game, scoring a power play goal in the final minute of play to give LSSU a 6-3 win.
