Laker Men's Golf Open Fall Season at B&R Investments Bulldog Classic

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) men's golf team competed at the B&R Investments Bulldog Classic, hosted by Ferris State University, on Monday and Tuesday.

Sophomore Charley Stephen (Oshawa, Ont.) and true freshman Jackson Theiler (Colorado Springs, Colo.) led the way for the Lakers with each having a three-round total of 244 strokes with Stephen improving on each round, climbing six spots on the individual leaderboard on the final day of competition. Yongbo Guan (Qingdao, China) would rank third among his teammates with a three-round total of 250 (82/82/86) that featured a pair of birdies in the opening round. Charles Johnson (Green Bay, Wis.) was able to have the best individual round out of all Lakers competing at the classic with an opening round total of 77 strokes, shooting on par or better in 11 of his first 18 holes. Senior Collin Pajot (Brighton, Mich.) rounded out the lineup for the Lakers with a three-round total of 257 (87/87/83), and he was able to notch four birdies at the event. 

The Lakers return to action on Sunday, Oct. 1 when they travel for the Flyer Intercollegiate tournament, hosted by Lewis University at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club.
