Men's Golf Competes in the 2021 GLIAC Tournament

AUGUSTA, Mich. - The Lake Superior State men's golf team competed at the 2021 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Golf Championships on Friday, April 16 and Saturday, April 17 at the Stoatin Brae Golf Club at the Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort in Augusta, Mich. The Lakers finished the two-day conference championship in ninth place with a combined score of 609.

Lake Superior State's team totaled a 308 score in the opening round on Friday and closed out the competition with a combined score of 301 on Saturday.

Senior Nick Oosterhof led the Lakers at the conference championship as he finished with a combined score of 147 (75, 72) to finish tied for 26th among all competitors. Oosterhof's second day score of 72 was the best among all Lakers in the two-day tournament. Sophomore Callum McKay followed with a two-round score of 150 to place second among his teammates. McKay posted a team-best score of 74 in the opening round and registered a score of 76 on Saturday. 

Junior Zander Park rounded out the top three LSSU finishers at the GLIAC tournament with a first day total of 77 and a second day mark of 78 to combine for a score of 155. 

Seniors Ryan Page and Carter Tallaire capped off the Laker squad at the conference championship. Page recorded a two-day total of 158 while Tallaire finished the pair of rounds with a combined score of 163.
