SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State men's and women's golf teams will return to competition this week as each team travels to Ohio for tournaments that will take place on Monday, April 5 and Tuesday, April 6. The men's team will partake in the Cavalier Classic in Canton, Ohio that is hosted by Walsh University at Glenmoor Country Club while the women's team will compete at the 2021 NC4K Classic hosted by Ohio Dominican University in Blacklick, Ohio at Jefferson Country Club. 

On the men's side, the Lakers will look to improve following the team's first competition a few weeks ago at the SVSU Spring Invite. At the Cavalier Classic, Lake Superior State will be represented by sophomore Callum McKay, junior Zander Park,  senior Carter Tallaire, senior Nick Oosterhof, senior Ryan Page, and senior Isaac Lennox, who will compete as an individual. The course will be a par 72 and plays 6,854 yards off the tee. 11 different teams will compete in the Cavalier Classic. Live results can be found here.

The women's team will look to build upon a strong opening tournament a few weeks ago at the SVSU Spring Invite, as the Lakers placed 11th among all teams while Naomi Keyte led the way with an impressive second place overall finish. Keyte as well as sophomore Julia Vess, junior Alyshia Suleman, senior Madison Wilkie, and redshirt-senior Madison Whittet will make up the Laker squad in this week's tournament. Freshman Marie Mathieu will compete in her second collegiate competition this weekend as she will be participating as an individual. The Jefferson Country Club golf course is a par 72 and plays 5,904 yards off the tee. The Lakers are one of 14 schools competing in the NC4K Classic. Live results can be found here.
