EVANSVILLE, In.— The No.15-ranked Lake Superior State men's basketball team will wrap it's 2017 schedule Saturday as they take on non-conference Southern Indiana in the Bill Joergens Memorial Classic at 2 p.m.

The Lakers are out to a 11-1 start this season and are on an eight-game winning streak entering Saturday's matchup. The Screaming Eagles are 9-3 on the year.

LSSU enters play averaging 85.1 points per game this season while allowing just 68.3. USI is averaging 79.9 points per game.

Senior guard Akaemji Williams leads the Lakers in scoring (18.8) and assists (6.5). Senior forward Michael Nicholson leads the team on the glass averaging 7.6 boards per contest.

Alex Stein leads the Screaming Eagles offense at 17.8 points per game. Nate Hansen is posting 15.6.

After Saturday's matchup, the Lakers will return home for the new year as they welcome Davenport (Jan.4) in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference Tilt at 7 p.m.
