Sault Ste. Marie, MI - Lake Superior State University sophomore thrower Jenna Fleming took 12th place in her first NCAA Division II Men's & Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Allendale, Michigan at Grand Valley State University on May 28, 2022.

The Hilton Beach, Ontario native placed twelvth with a throw of 42.41 meters. Jenna will receive honorable mention All-American for a 9-12th place finish at the meet. "Although we came up short of our top 8 goal for first team All-American, Jenna gained valuable experience for future NCAA championships," said head coach Tony Filipek. "The future is bright. She will be looking to return to next year's NCAA Outdoor Track Championships as well as shoot for her 3rd consecutive GLIAC Championship in Javelin."
