Parker Named Interim Head Coach for Laker Men's and Women's Golf Programs

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Lake Superior State University Athletic Department has named Matt Parker as Interim Head Coach for the men's and women's golf programs for the remainder of the 2022-23 season after the resignation of Tony Crisp, as announced by LSSU Athletic Director, Dr. Dave Diles, on Thursday.

"I am extremely honored to be given this opportunity from Dr. Diles to be a part of a well-established Lake Superior State golf program," said Parker.

In addition to his new responsibilities as interim coach of the men's and women's golf programs, Parker also currently serves as the head coach of the LSSU club women's hockey program in the American Collegiate Hockey Association, and he boasts over 15 years of coaching experience.

"I am excited to get the chance work with a great group of student-athletes to continue building this program in the right direction," said Parker. "I am looking forward to working hard toward the further growth and development of Laker golf!"
