Kalinowski Named GLIAC Volleyball Setter of the Week

BAY CITY, Mich. – Lake Superior State volleyball player Emily Kalinowski (South Lyon, Mich.) has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Setter of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Kalinowski led the Lakers to consecutive wins over the weekend for the first time since 2019.  She earned a 38-assist, 16-dig double-double during Friday's 3-0 victory over Purdue Northwest, leading all players in both categories. She would go on to set up her teammates for 42 kills on the following day on the road for a 3-1 win over Saginaw Valley State. This is the first GLIAC weekly honors of Kalinowski's career and marks the first time that an LSSU player has received GLIAC weekly honors since prior to GLIAC news archives being stored in 2009.
