Laker Women's Basketball Slated 10th in GLIAC Preseason Poll

SAULT STE. Marie, Mich. – The Lake Superior State University women's basketball program has been selected to finish tenth in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Preseason Poll, as voted on by the coaches.

The Lakers will be looking to improve upon last season's overall record of 4-20, including a 3-15 mark in conference play, under sixth-year Head Coach Brandon Lokken. In order to do that, the team will be looking for another strong year from senior Mattison Rayman (Otsego, Mich.) who averaged a double-double one season ago. With the combination of veteran leadership and the arrival of five new faces, the Lakers prepare to continue taking the next step forward as a program.

The Lakers are set to officially open the 2022-23 season when they travel to Findlay, Ohio for the GLIAC/GMAC Crossover on Friday, Nov. 11 with the tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
