Boudon Named CCHA Forward of the Week after Four-Point Weekend

DEEPHAVEN, Minn. – Senior captain Louis Boudon (Grenoble, France) has been named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Forward of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday. This marks his second CCHA weekly honors of the season and the sixth of his career.

Boudon led the Lakers in points on the weekend with four (1G, 3A) to propel his team to their first series sweep of the season with respective victories of 3-2 OT, and 4-2 over the Ferris State Bulldogs. He scored his tenth goal of the season on Saturday to give the Lakers a 2-1 lead in a wild opening period of action, and he came away with primary assists on Jake Willets' (Monroe, Mich.) Friday night game-winner and Jared Westcott's (Imperial, Mo.) empty-netter on Saturday to secure the sweep over the Bulldogs, eliminating Ferris State from home ice contention. Boudon also finished the weekend with a +3 +/- rating and blocked a shot in the defensive zone.

Boudon and the Lakers return to action on Friday, March 3 when they travel to face the top-seeded Minnesota State Mavericks in the opening round of the CCHA Mason Cup Playoffs with puck drop for game one scheduled for 7:07 p.m. Central Standard Time.
