Laker Men's Golf Finish Ninth at GLIAC Championships

AUGUSTA, Mich. - The Lake Superior State men's golf program placed ninth at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships on Friday.

Marko Banic (Calgary, Alb.) led the way for the Lakers shooting only three over par after 36 holes, scoring a par or better on 31 out of 36 holes. Alex Bratton (Yorktown, Ind.) would then use an eight-stroke improvement on the second round to finish with a two-day total of 148 strokes. Charley Stephen (Oshawa, Ont.) was able to have a two-shot improvement of his own to finish the tournament with a total of 150 shots. Meanwhile, Callum McKay (Calgary, Alb.) and Gabe Rathburn (Portage, Mich.) rounded out the lineup with respective two-round totals of 158 and 164.
