Freshman (2021): Indoor season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic… Competed in six meets for the Lakers during the outdoor season… Ran a personal-best time of 2:01.90 in the 800 meter race at the 54th Annual Hillsdale College “Gina” Relays… At the GVSU Al Owens Classic, recorded a personal best time of 4:11.47 in the 1500 meter distance… Competed in the 1500 meter event at the 2021 GLIAC Outdoor Championships. 

High School: Graduated from Jonesville High School in Jonesville, Mich. in 2019… Competed in the Big Eight Conference where he was coached by Josh Perrin in cross country and Pete Konieczki in track… Competed in the 5k, 800m, 1000m, and 3200m races during his four-year high school career… Ran a personal best time of 17:18 in the 5k distance as a senior… Recorded a personal best in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:03 as a senior… Also added a personal best in the 3200-meter distance as a senior with a time of 10:46… Ran a personal record time of 4:44 in the 1000-meter distance as a junior… Member of Jonesville’s Cross Country State Qualifying Team in 2017 and 2018… Member of Jonesville’s Conference Champion team in 2017 and 2018 in cross country… Was a part of the Regional Champion team for Jonesville Track & Field in 2019… Qualified for State as a member of Jonesville’s 4x800m relay team in 2018 and 2019… Finished his cross country high school career as a 27-time event medalist, two-time academic all-state honoree, three-time all-conference recipient, four-time academic all-conference recipient, all-region honoree, and a winner of the team’s coach’s award… Finished his track and field high school career as a 41-time event medalist, all-state honoree, academic all-state honoree, seven-time all-region honoree, three-time all-conference honorable mention recipient, four-time academic all-conference recipient, and a winner of the team’s most valuable leader award… Received the Blair Dellinger Outstanding Student-Citizen-Athlete Memorial Award… Earned the Big Eight Scholar Athlete Award.

Personal: Son of Scott and Rebecca Bowman… Graduated from high school as the Salutatorian of his class… Involved in FFA, Student Council, Natural Helpers and Interact in high school... Attended Jackson Community College in Jackson, Mich. from 2019-20…. Hobbies include traveling, exploring new places and playing with his dog, Missy... Majoring in conservation biology.
