Preview: Men's & Women's Tennis Gears Up for GLIAC Tournament this Weekend

SAULT STE MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State University Men's and Women's Tennis teams will take part in the 2022 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships this weekend on Friday, April 29, Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1 at the Midland Tennis Center in Midland, Mich. 

The men's team, which made the conference postseason as the sixth seed, will match up against the Grand Valley State Lakers in the first round on April 29. The time that the opening round match will be played is to be determined, depending on weather conditions. The winner of the first round will take on Ferris State on Saturday, April 30 in the second round.

The women's team, which qualified for the GLIAC tournament as the fifth seed, will play the Ferris State Bulldogs in the first round. Similar to the men's tournament, the time of the match has not yet been set due to weather conditions. The winner of the first round will take on Northwood Timberwolves in the second on Saturday, April 30 in the second round.
