Lakers Fall to Wayne State in a Road Match

DETROIT, Mich. - The Lake Superior State University women's tennis team fell to Wayne State 6-1 in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC) match on Saturday, Sept. 28. The Lakers are 0-2 in conference play this season.

In doubles play, the Lakers fell to the Warriors in each of the three matches. No. 1 pair of sophomore Nadege Koua and junior Muskaan Ranjan lost 6-3, No. 2 doubles pair AlexiAnn Drouin and sophomore Keegan Malpass lost 7-5, and No. 3 pair of frehsman Riley Gilman and Madelin Harrod lost 6-0. 

In singles play, Koua won her match in two sets (6-3, 6-4). The five remaining Lakers each lost their matches in two sets - Drouin (4-6, 1-6), Ranjan (1-6, 4-6), Malpass (2-6, 0-6), Gilman (2-6, 0-6), and Harrod (1-6, 2-6).
