Humitz & Boudon Receive All-WCHA Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Two Lake Superior State hockey student-athletes have earned All-WCHA or WCHA All-Rookie honors, as by Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) officials on Monday, March 16.

Senior forward Max Humitz earned All-WCHA Second Team honors while freshman forward Louis Boudon was named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team. 

Humitz, a kinesiology major from Livonia, Michigan, led the Lakers with a career-high 22 goals and 13 assists for 35 points in his senior season. Humitz ranked second in the WCHA in goals this season and was tied for fourth in points among all conference players. The captain, who posted his 100th career point on Jan. 25 and his 60th career goal on Feb. 22, ends his career as a Lakers with 111 points (64G, 47A) in 149 career games. 

Humitz, who has recorded back-to-back 30 point seasons for the Lakers, was named to the All-WCHA Third Team last season. This season, Humitz is a Hobey Baker Award Nominee as well as a Top Ten Finalist for the Senior CLASS Award. 

Boudon, a kinesiology major from Grenoble, France, was third on the Lakers in points with 27 and ranked first among his teammates in assists with 21. The forward was named WCHA Rookie of the Week twice this season while also being named WCHA Rookie of the Month for February. Boudon was tied for second among WCHA freshmen in scoring and was seventh among all WCHA players in assists. Boudon posted two five-game point streaks this season as well as three three-point games.
