Men's Golf Competes in the SVSU Spring Invite

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Lake Superior State men's golf team competed in the SVSU Spring Invitational hosted by Saginaw Valley State University on Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21 at the Kearney Hill Golf Course in Lexington, Ky. to open the 2021 season. The Lakers posted a combined total score of 636 in the two day competition. 

The Lakers were represented by sophomore Callum McKay, senior Nick Oosterhof, senior Ryan Page, senior Isaac Lennox, junior Zander Park, and senior Carter Tallaire, who competed as an individual. 

McKay led the Lakers with a total score of 156 (79,77) to finish with the best two-day score among his teammates. Park ranked behind McKay to post the second best total score on the team with a 157 (78,79). 

Oosterhof had a total score of 164 (88,76), Page totaled a 165 (86,79), and Lennox finished with a 167 (82, 85).

Tallaire posted a two day total of 164 (84,80) in the individual competition.

Looking Ahead

The Lakers will return to competition on April 4-6 as the men's team travels to Canton, Ohio to participate in the Cavalier Classic hosted by Walsh University. The event will be held at the Glenmoore Country Club.
