Nick O

Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.- The Lake Superior State men's golf team will travel to Midland Country Club in Midland, Mich. to participate in the Northwood Invitational hosted by Northwood University on both Sunday, Oct. 6 and Monday, Oct. 7. This match will be another GLIAC conference opposition for the Lakers.

After a tough and rainy weekend that was cut short due to inclimate weather at the HawksHead Invitational where the Lakers finished in seventh place overall, the Lakers look to bounce back with a strong performance in Midland. The Lakers will look to  juniors Ryan Page and Isaac Lennox to lead their efforts in Midland. Page who finished the lone day with a score of 76 (+4) claimed 20th overall while Lennox shot a 77 (+5). The other Laker's scores were as follows; Carisile 79 (+7), McKay 81 (+9) and Park 83 (+11).

Midland Country Club is a shorter par 70 course with a distance of 6,400 yards off the tee boxes. This course presents quite a few water hazards as well as an island green.
