Men's Golf Participates in the HawksHead Invitational

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. - The Lake Superior State men's golf team participated in the HawksHead Invitational hosted by Wayne State University in South Haven, Mich. on Saturday, Sept. 28. Following the first day of play, the Lakers sat in the seventh spot overall with a score of 313. However, the second and final day of the tournament was cancelled.

The Lakers team for the HawksHead Invitational consisted of junior Ryan Page, junior Isaac Lennox, freshman Jace Carlisle, freshman Callum McKay, and sophomore Zander Park. Page placed first among his teammates as he finished the abbreviated tournament tied for 20th overall with a one day total of 76. Lennox ranked second among the Lakers with a score of 77, which was tied for 25th overall. The final three Laker golfers were Carlisle, who shot a 79, McKay, who posted an 81, and Park who finished with an 83. . 

Up Next

The Lakers will travel to the Northwood Invitational hosted by Northwood University in Midland, Mich. at the Midland Country Club on Sunday, Oct. 6 and Monday, Oct. 7. The tee times for this event are TBA.
