Collegiate Results

Junior (2019-20): Competed in five meets for the Lakers during the indoor season... Outdoor season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic... Set a personal record as well as a LSSU school record in the 3000-meter run at the GLIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships with a time of 8:22.78, placing fifth overall to earn four points for the men's team... Placed eighth in the Distance Medley Relay at GLIACs with Kevin Garland, Tom Hanke, and Andrew Giddens with a time of 11:05.17.

Sophomore (2018-19): All-Conference First Team, All-Region, and national qualifier in cross country...Competed in the Blizzard Buster and placed second with a personal-best time of 14:56.79...In the 2019 Indoor Championships, placed seventh with a personal-best time of 8:33.28 in the 3000 meter.

Freshman (2017-18): Selected All-GLIAC Second-Team in XC...Placed 11th in the 3,000-meter run at the GLIAC Indoor Track Championships.

High School: Claimed all-state laurels in both cross country (5K) and track (3,200-meter run) as a senior at Howell (Mich.) High School...Prepped by Clay Wall...Graduated in 2017...Achieved all-conference champions accolades in cross country (5K) and track (3,200 meters)...Awarded team's Most Valuable Athlete in 2016-17...Set a school record in the 3,200-meter run with a 9:09.96 time in 2017...Went undefeated in dual meets for the 2016 and '17 seasons...Played hockey during his freshman year. 

Personal: Born in Howell, Mich....Son of David Sr. and Sandy Mitter...Has a younger sister...His cousin (Maggie Mitter) is a member of the 2017-18 Adrian College women's ice hockey team...Enjoys the outdoors and playing video games...A mechanical engineering major.
