Lake Superior

Austin Hawks enters his first year as an athletic trainer at Lake Superior State University in 2019-20. Hawks will primarily work with men's and women's basketball, men's and women's track and field, men's and women's cross country, and volleyball. 

Hawks attended Lake Superior State from 2016-19 and completed his Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training as well as a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in rehabilitation science. In addition, Hawks completed an Associate's of Science as a Health and Fitness Specialist from Lake Superior State. 

During his time as a student at Lake Superior State, Hawks gained valauble experience as he worked with the university's hockey, tennis, basketball, and cross country teams. In 2017, Hawks assisted with LSSU's Norris Challenge Exercise Testing.

Hawks has also served as a member of the medical staff for the Special Olympics.

Hawks received his Associate's of Science from Alpena Community College in 2016. 

A native of Alpena, Mich, Hawks currently resides in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.
