Emily Kalinowski Named GLIAC Setter of the Week After 58-Assist Outing On Saturday

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Lake Superior State senior setter Emily Kalinowski (South Lyon, Mich.) has been named the GLIAC Setter of the Week after coming away with an impressive 93 assists in two matches. Kalinowski helped to lead the Lakers to their first GLIAC victory of the season in a thrilling five-set match against Saginaw Valley in which she broke her career-high for assists by 14 when she set up 58 putaways on the day, marking the most assists in a match by any GLIAC player so far this season. Her 58 assists are also the seventh-most by any individual athlete in program history. She was also able to contribute 19 digs defensively, including 11 against SVSU for her fifth double-double of the season, snuck across four kills, and served three aces. 

Kalinowski and the Lakers return to action on Friday, Sept. 22 when they travel to take on the Davenport Panthers with the first serve scheduled for 6 p.m.
