Lakers fall 3-0 at Ashland

ASHLAND, Ohio - Lake Superior State volleyball fell to the Ashland Eagles 3-0 Friday evening in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference match.

The Lakers were led in kills by Jena Tulgestke with eight. The freshman from Rogers City, Mich. also collected a pair of digs.

Senior Sydne McMullen led the Lakers (0-10, 0-6 GLIAC) in attack-percentage with a .333 clip with three kills on her six attacks.

Janelle Nagy, who left the Lakers last match against Hillsdale with an injury, returned to form and led the Lakers with a season-high 18 assists. Nagy also contributed five digs.

The Eagles(10-4, 5-1 GLIAC) were propelled by Ali Cudworth's 14 kills along with eight serice aces and seven digs.

Mallory Slyder led the Eagles with 31 assists.

The Lakers will face Lake Erie on Saturday 2 p.m. to wrap-up their weekend.
