BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lake Superior State women's tennis team lost a match by a final score of 5-2 on Saturday, Oct. 12 against the Ferris State Bulldogs in Big Rapids, Mich. 

Singles Competition: In the singles competition, the Lakers No. 2 player Nadege Koua (6-4) and No. 3 player Muskaan Ranjan (6-4, 6-2) each won their matches in two sets. 

1. Isabela Paixao (FS) def. AlexiAnn Drouin (LSSU) 6-1, 7-5
2. Nadege Koua (LSSU) def. Agata Klak (FS) 6-4, 6-1
3. Muskaan Ranjan (LSSU) def. Brittany Lavenant (FS) 6-4, 6-2
4. Silvia Verebes (FS) def. Riley GIlman (LSSU) 6-2, 6-1
5. Morgan Waller (FS) def. Madelin Harrod (LSSU) 6-1, 6-0
6. Sam Stephenson (FS) def. No player (LSSU), by forfeit

Doubles competition: Despite a very close match from the Lakers No. 1 pair, the Bulldogs took the doubles point by winning all three matches. 

1. Agata Klak/Isabela Paixao (FS) def. Nadege Koua/Muskaan Ranjan (LSSU) 7-6 (7-5)
2. Silvia Verebes/Brittany Lavenant (FS) def. AlexiAnn Drouin/Riley GIlman (LSSU) 6-2
3. Morgan Waller/Sam Stephenson (FS) def. No player/No player (LSSU), by forfeit

Up Next: The Lakers will close out the regular season in a pair of home matches next weekend. Lake State will play Davenport on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 10:00 a.m. and Purdue Northwest on Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
