SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Lake Superior State women's tennis team will be on the road again this upcoming weekend to face two Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponents. On Saturday, Oct. 12, the Lakers will match up against Ferris State University at 10:00 a.m. in Big Rapids, Mich. The Lakers will travel to Allendale, Mich. to compete against Grand Valley State University on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 10:00 a.m.

The Lakers have posted a 2-3 overall record as the team will look to continue its recent success and secure a spot in the conference tournament at the end of this month. LSSU is coming off of a weekend with two wins against conference rivals Saginaw Valley State and Northwood.  The Lakers competition this weekend will be steep as Grand Valley State University is 5-0 in the fall season while Ferris State University sits with a 4-1 record.

 Up Next:

The Lakers will return home for a set of matches against Davenport on Saturday, Oct. 19 and Purdue Northwest on Sunday, Oct. 20 next weekend. Both matches are set for 10:00 a.m. in the Arbuckle Student Activity Center.
