MIDLAND, Mich.- The Lake Superior State women's tennis team travelled to Northwood University Saturday to compete in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) match.
The Lakers fell, 7-0, to the Timberwolves and slip to 1-2 on the season. NU improves to 3-0.
At No. 1 doubles, Tara Harvey and Nadege Koua lost 6-1, No. 2 doubles, AlexiAnn Drouin and Margo Muller lost 6-2, and rounding out the lineup at No. 3 doubles was Jenay Andrews and Allison Grandfield dropping the match 6-3.
In singles, No. 1, Drouin, lost 6-2, 6-3. At No.2, Koua lost 6-2,6-2 while Harvey at No. 3 lost 6-3, 6-3. At No. 4, Muller lost 6-4, 6-2, and at No. 5 Andrews, lost 6-0, 6-0. Finishing the lineup was freshman Keegan Malpass losing 6-2, 6-1.
Lake State looks to rebound tomorrow (Sept. 30) against Saginaw Valley University at 10 am.
