Lake State women's tennis defeats Findlay


FINDLAY, Ohio - The Lake Superior State women's tennis team won all three doubles matches and defeated Findlay 6-3 Saturday at Findlay. Lake State advanced to 3-5 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 4-5 overall.

No. 1 singles player Adrienne DiVito (Washington, Mich.) defeated her Findlay opponent, 6-2, 6-3. DiVito and senior Carolyn Pumford (Bannister, Mich.) won at No. 2 doubles, 8-6. Pumford lost at No. 4 singles in a third-set tiebreaker, 1-6, 6-2, (10-5).

LSSU's No. 2 doubles team of sophomores Ingrid Pflieger (Grossaitingen, Germany) and Erin Wiethoff (Escanaba, Mich.) won, 8-4. The No. 3 doubles duo of Katie Watchorn (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.) and Anais Molina-Rodriguez (Lima, Peru) won, 8-3.
