MTU defeats LSSU in women's tennis
SAULT STE. MARIE - Michigan Tech defeated Lake Superior State in women's tennis, 6-3, Saturday at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center.
Sophomore Erin Wiethoff (Escanaba, Mich.) at No. 5 singles won, 6-4, 6-4, and senior Katie Watchorn (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.) defeated MTU at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-4.
"The bottom of our lineup really came through for us today, which is going to be crucial the rest of our season," said first-year coach Tom Linhart. "Both Wiethoff and Watchorn are now 5-6 on the season."
No. 3 doubles Anais Molina-Rodgiguez and Watchorn defeated MTU, 8-6.
