Lakers go 2-1 in doubles despite loss to Bulldogs


SAULT STE. MARIE - The Lake Superior State women's tennis team ended its winless streak in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubles competition, posting wins at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles during Friday's dual match with Ferris State.

LSSU (1-3 overall, 0-3 GLIAC) went into the match with an 0-6 record in conference doubles play. FSU (2-0) came back to win five of six singles matches and claim a 6-3 team victory.

The Lakers play host to Grand Valley State at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Norris Center.
