Laker Golf Wraps Up Fall Season

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Lake Superior State women's golf team travelled to play in the Panther Invitational held at Thornapple Point. The Lakers finished strong with a second place finish. 

Lake State had five top 10 finishers this weekend. Taylor Simoneau finished one stroke off of first place with a third place finish, shooting a 164 (80, 84). Tatiana Hulan (86,80) and Naomi Keyte (83,83) finished tied for sixth place with a score of 166. Madison Wilkie shot a 172 (84, 88), and finished ninth. Madison Whittet shot a 174 (82, 92) and finished 10th. Alyshia Suleman finished in 16th with a score of 186 (96, 90). The Lakers finished with a team score of 664 and was five strokes off from the leader. 

The men placed 16th at TPC Michigan in Dearborn, Michigan. Nick Oosterhof tied for 39th and shot a 161 (82, 79), Zander Park tied for 74th and shot a 170 (84, 86), and Connor Kintz shot a 173 (86, 87) and tied for 75th. Ryan Page shot a 175 (83, 92) tied for 79th, and Carter Tallaire played his first collegiate tournament this weekend and shot a 180 (94, 86) and tied for 89th

The men and women's golf team wrapped up their fall season and will continue play in March.
