Mattison Rayman Named Second Team All-GLIAC

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Mattison Rayman, a sophomore forward on the Lake Superior State women's basketball team has been named Second Team All-GLIAC for her play during the 2021 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) season, as announced by conference officials on Saturday, March 7.

Rayman, a sophomore forward, led the Lakers in her second season with the team with 13.3 points per game on a 47.0 shooting percentage. At the close of the GLIAC regular season, Rayman ranked ninth in the conference in points per game. Rayman started all 16 games that she played in for LSSU this season and averaged 24.9 minutes per game on the floor. Her 7.4 rebounds per game, which included 5.1 defensive rebounds per game, led the Lakers and was fourth best in the GLIAC this season.

The Otsego, Mich. native finished the season with 12 games with double-digit point totals and strung together a streak of nine consecutive games with 10 or more points to close out the regular season. Rayman scored a career-best 26 points in the Lakers game on Feb. 21 against Wisconsin-Parkside.
