Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.- The Lake Superior State women's basketball team will face Finlandia University in the Bud Cooper Gymnasium on Friday, Nov. 22 at 1:00 pm. This matchup will be Kids Day as the Lakers welcome students from both Washington and Lincoln Elementary which are both members of Sault Area Schools. Admission to the public will be free for this game.

The Lakers are set to face Finlandia for only the third time ever. The Lakers have not played the Lions since December of 2014 when the Lakers were victorious by a score of 74-65. Since then, the Lakers have changed for the better and are coming off a 63-57 win over Tiffin University on Wednesday night. Head Coach Brandon Lokken is coming of his winningest season and the program's winningest season since 2012. The Lakers will look to senior forward Lexi Khon and freshman forward Miattison Rayman to lead the Lakers on offense. Senior guard Claire Radtke leads the Lakers from three this season, including scoring four times on five attempts in Wednesday's game. 

Finlandia University Lions - Hancock, Mich.

The Lions are shooting 34.2% from the field this season as well as 15.6% from three. The Lions also are averaging 38.5 rebounds per game and have out rebounded most of their opponents this season. The Lions are led by sophomore forward Katie Ludeen who has been named to the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) player of the week lists for her accomplishments against her opponents at the Tip-Off Classic at the beginning of the month.
