Women's Basketball Gears Up for a Wednesday Night Game Against Tiffin

Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. - The Lake Superior State women's basketball team will host the Dragons from Tiffin University on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the Bud Cooper Gymnasium. This matchup follows the Lakers 80-51 loss against the Hillsdale Chargers on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The Lakers (1-2)

Three games into the 2019-20 season, the Lakers hold a 1-2 overall record. The Lakers are shooting 40.7% on the season and averaging nearly 61 points per game. The Lakers are also shooting 64.6 from the free-throw line as well as 27.3% from three. Leading the Lakers in scoring this season is senior forward Lexi Khon who is averaging 15.7 points per game. Senior guard Claire Radtke ranks first among her squad with a three-point percentage of 40. Junior guard Jenna Greggory leads her team with 14 assists. The Lakers are averaging 25.7 rebounds per game and are led in rebounds by freshman forward Mattison Rayman

Tiffin University Dragons (3-2) - Tiffin, Ohio

The Dragons sport a 3-2 record on the year which includes the three game win streak that the Dragons are currently riding. The Dragons average 81.4 points per game and also have a 41.7 field goal percentage. The Dragons have outrebounded every team they have faced this year. The Dragons average 45.2 rebounds per game. The Dragons are coached by Jessie Ivey who is in her second year as the head coach for Tiffin.

The Lakers will return to action to face Finlandia University on Friday, Nov. 22 at 1:00 pm in the Bud Cooper Gymnasium. It will mark the annual "Kids Day Game" and the Lakers will welcome students from Lincoln and Washington Elementary to this game. There will be no admission fee for this game.
