SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Lake Superior State women's basketball student-athlete Lexie Khon has been named the Madigan/Pingatore Insurance Athlete of the Week, as announced by the Lake Superior State athletic department on Monday, Nov. 11. 

Khon, a senior forward and kinesiology major from Jackson, Mich., scored a team-high 26 points and seven rebounds in Friday's 67-47 loss against the Malone Pioneers in the Lakers home opener. She then recorded 17 points with an 83.3 shooting percentage from the field in Saturday's 84-77 win against Alderson Broaddus. 

It is the first time that Khon has been named the Madigan/Pingatore Insurance Athlete of the Week.

The Lakers will continue their home schedule as they host Hillsdale College on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 4:00pm in the Bud Cooper Gymnasium.
